As usual the laptop was set on the table, all I do is plug the socket in lift the lid and switch it on every morning. As the plug was inserted into the wall socket there was a little rattle with the plug as it was handled. On further investigation the screw that holds the the plug together had come loose. it was into the DIY tool draw int he kitchen to get a screwdriver to tighten it up. The screw was tighten, but that wasn't good enough as I gave it another little turn just to make sure it was extra tight. I wish I hadn't the hard white plastic pug fractured and I had two halves of a plug in my hand. The plug still works after it is now held together with insulation tape in true Bulgarian style. A simple tightening of a screw is never easy with bad luck.

Socket Problem

I hv a host of techno-related problems this past 2 weeks as well.
ReplyDeleteFirst, I just realised that a certified shop who sells me the decorder box for my satellite TV has swindled me twice bec both boxes r obsolete after 1 year ! We had a heated exchange when I confronted him with the junk he sold me (500 euro's in total). He was not impressed by my distress, just said that I needed yet another box !! Yet he had the cheek to advertise his service as "the professional man behind the counter" ! He is just a sales goof n nothing else !
Wished I knew some handy man abt who could advise me :-/
