Bulgarian Traffic Police Fine Me

Bulgarian Traffic Police Fine MeaImage via Wikipedia

Off to Burgas today to take guests back to the airport. The journey there was fine, but I got stopped on the way back by traffic police. They claimed I didn’t stop at a junction before turning right. I explained that I could see both ways and the way was completely free of traffic and was safe. They wouldn’t have it saying that if a sign says stop, you stop! They took my licence and fined me 100 Bulgarian Leva, which had to be paid in the Yambol Police station within for days. Most Bulgarian drivers never stop at this point; I was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
